Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Monetools ("we," "us," "our") collects when you use monetools.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
The short version: the calculators run entirely in your browser and we never see the numbers you type into them. We store an email address only if you give us one, and what you bought if you buy something. We do not sell anything about you, and there are no advertising trackers on this Site.
What the calculators do with your numbers
Nothing leaves your browser. Every figure you enter into a calculator — income, expenses, filing status, property values, salary — is processed on your own device to produce the result on screen. It is never sent to us, never written to a server, and never associated with you. If you close the tab, it is gone.
The same is true of the PDF a calculator offers you: it is generated in your browser from what is already on your screen.
What we do store
Three things, each for a stated reason:
- Your email address, if you give us one to receive a PDF or updates. We store the address, which tool you were using when you gave it, the page you were on, and the country your request came from. We use it to send you the email you asked for and occasional updates about the tools.
- Your purchase, if you buy a Tax Kit. We store the email address PayPal gives us for the payment, which kit you bought, a PayPal payment reference, the country of the request, and a download token. We use these to deliver the file, to let you download it again within 30 days, and to answer you if something goes wrong with the order. We never see your card or bank details — those go to PayPal and never reach us.
- Anonymous usage events. When a calculator finishes, or a result link is clicked, we record that it happened: the event name, which tool, the page path, and the country. There is no identifier in these rows and they cannot be linked back to you or to an email address. We use them to decide which tools to build and improve.
Who processes this data
We are a small operation and use these services. Each holds only what it needs to do its job:
- Cloudflare — hosts the Site, stores the data described above (Cloudflare D1) and the Tax Kit files (Cloudflare R2), and provides aggregate traffic analytics. Cloudflare necessarily sees the IP address of every request, as any web host does.
- PayPal — processes payments. If you buy something, your relationship over payment details is with PayPal, under their privacy policy. They tell us the payer's email address, the amount and a reference; nothing else.
- Resend — delivers the email we send you.
- DecapBridge and GitHub — used by us to write and publish articles. They hold no visitor data.
Cookies, advertising and affiliate links
This Site serves no advertising and sets no advertising cookies. A previous version of this page described Google AdSense and affiliate tracking cookies. Neither is in use: there is no ad code on the Site, and no affiliate link is currently live. We have corrected this page rather than leave it describing something that does not happen. If either changes, this section will be rewritten before the change ships, not after.
We use no analytics cookies of our own. The usage events described above carry no identifier and set nothing on your device.
Email, and how to stop it
We say "unsubscribe anytime" and mean it. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and supports the one-click unsubscribe button your mail client shows. Using it records that you have opted out, and filling in a form on the Site later will not silently put you back on the list.
You can also reply to any email from us and ask, which always works.
How long we keep things
- Download tokens expire 30 days after purchase. The purchase record itself is kept as a record that you bought the product — you may need it, and so may we, if you ask for the file again.
- Email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. An unsubscribed address is kept as the record that you said no, so that a later form submission cannot undo it.
- Usage events are anonymous and are kept as aggregate history.
Your choices
- Use every calculator without giving us anything. No account, no email, nothing.
- Unsubscribe from any email using the link in it.
- Ask us to delete your email address or purchase record by writing to [email protected]. Tell us the address and we will remove it.
- Ask us what we hold about you, at the same address.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not share your email address with anyone other than the service that delivers the message. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not use your calculator inputs for anything at all, because we never receive them.
Children's privacy
This Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when our practices change, and update the date at the top when we do.
